Temple Beth Tikvah B’nai Mitzvah Year

“Whoever teaches his son teaches not alone his son but also his son’s on, and so on to the end of generations.” Hebrew Proverb

Every family looks forward to the day they can call their child a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, a passage into Jewish adulthood. There are Torah and Haftorah lessons to be learned, chanting of blessings to be practiced and speeches to be made. Temple Beth Tikvah regards this as a very special time in your child’s life. The year leading up to Bar or Bat Mitzvah are a time to learn about one’s place in the community and begin to engage in social action. Most of all it is a time for community celebration culminating early years of study.
